Monday

Monday was our first working day, we arrived at the golfclub not really knowing what to expect. I knew Susan, the owner of the restaurant already before coming here but was unsure about what she'd be like as our boss. We were welcomed kindly and our first job was sorting out the sauce trays. After that we got to cleaning the shelves. We put back the cups and other things back so neatly, the ladies in the kitchen were amazed and wanted to take photos. The ladies were all lovely and very sweet, we get along with them very well. We got taught how to make tea and coffee which we also got to serve along with the other dishes. We also cleared tables and washed the dishes. The first day was very busy because the weather was sunny outside. We didn't know whether we were getting lunch, so at 2 o'clock when we were very hungy, Christel asked when and if we had lunchtime. Turns out, we get to pick anything of the menu for free and they make it for us!! We both picked the soup which was very nice. After we had our break we got back to work. We didn't mind though, because we were enjoying ourselves a lot. The ladies in the kitchen and behind the bar made the day even better and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. After our first working day, we got picked up by my aunt and went home! We slept very well that night.
